When you need a break from the sun or are in the mood to browse some local art or boutiques, there are plenty of shops walkable from Heron View to pop in and out of. Markets filled with a variety of trinkets like jewelry, clothing and even some food are scattered all throughout Wilmington’s downtown. And, of course, you can’t forget to stop into a classic gift shop store with all of the Wilmington shirts, hats, and souvenirs you could ever dream of!

One of the best parts about staying in downtown Wilmington is its close location to some of North Carolina’s most beautiful areas and exciting attractions. Right downstairs from your balcony, Wilmington Boat tours will take you out on the Cat to explore the Cape Fear River. A little further down the River Walk, experience walking tours, horse drawn carriage rides, and fun museums! Just a short ride away, Wrightsville beach gives you a change of scenery and more food, bars, and shopping to enjoy during your stay at Heron View!
